Local Beaches

St Merryn is known as ‘7 Bays for 7 Days’ and so you are spoilt for choice on which beach to choose. Treyarnon Bay is a personal favourite of mine and Harlyn is popular with surfers.

Taxi Service

Should you wish to take a taxi into Padstow, Wadebridge, Newquay or even down to St Merryn then we would recommend ‘Abacus Taxis’. They operate a good friendly service and are very reasonably priced. The contact details for Abacus are situated in the clubhouse.

Good Places to Eat

If you are keen to venture away from the Clubhouse for food, then there are a number of very good restaurants in the local vicinity. Within the village of St Merryn there are a couple of good restaurants, which offer good local fish and meat. However, be warned that they get booked up very quickly and so get a reservation in early!

There are a number of excellent restaurants in Padstow, notably the 2 Rick Stein establishments. If you are looking for a cheaper option then Rojano’s is a good pizza restaurant.

Local Supermarkets/Newspapers & Groceries

If you require one of the large supermarkets, then there are 2 Tesco’s in the area. One is on the A39 on the outskirts of Wadebridge.

The other is on the main road into Padstow (A389). If you require some basic groceries then the shop within the clubhouse has a number of emergency items and the Premier Shop in St Merryn itself also has a range of goods including fresh bread and alcohol.

BBQ’s There is a new BBQ area which has been developed at the back of the car park area. Please be courteous to other park visitors concerning rubbish and how the area is left once you have finish

Laundry You can wash and dry clothes within the Wash room area of the Clubhouse.
